The Federation of Indian Export Organizations represents the Indian entrepreneurs' spirit of enterprise in the global market. Known popularly as "FIEO", this apex body of Indian export promotion organizations was set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry in the year 1965. FIEO is thus a partner of the Government of India in promoting India's exports.

The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) is a part of Ministry of Science & Technology. This was announced through a Presidential Notification dated January 4, 1985 (74/2/1/8. Cab.) Contained in the 164th Amendment of the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961.

The Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) comprises of the activities of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Departmental Schemes viz. Research and Development by Industry (RDI), Programme Aimed at Technological Self Reliance (PATSER), Scheme to Enhance the Efficacy of Transfer of Technology (SEETOT) and National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT) and two Public Enterprises viz. National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) and Central Electronics Limited (CEL).

The Technical Consultancy Development Program for Asia and the Pacific (TCDPAP) was established in April 1992 following the adoption of its Memorandum of Establishment (MoE) by United Nations - Economic & Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP).

The main objectives of the TCDPAP relate to promotion of local consultants in national and regional projects in the Asia and the Pacific Region by establishing, developing and continuously upgrading the consultancy capabilities and information systems.

The formation of the Ministry of Science and Technology was announced through a Presidential Notification dated January 4, 1985 (74/2/1/8.Cab.) contained in the 164th Amendment of the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961; the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Scientific and industrial Research, and the Department of Biotechnology are the departments under this ministry.

Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI) is the apex body of management consulting professionals. Being the only registered institute of established management consultancy firms and practicing individuals in the country, IMCI endeavors to raise the standards of management consulting and enhance the image of the consultancy profession in India.

IMCI leads the profession of management consultancy by supporting and regulating management consultants and providing a forum for all management consultancy stakeholders. It sets and maintains high standards of quality, independence, objectivity and integrity for management consultants in India.
